Everybody Leaves In The End

Times have passed, days have gone
Sadness lies every inch of bone
You were there till the work is done
There won’t be “you” for the days to come

Clock will tick and the sun will rise
Fooled me twice but never will thrice
There won’t be a hand for you to lend
I should have known all leave in the end

But the crime you did late last December
Will forever stay and will always remember
One day you’ll come in terms with yourself
There won’t be a me nor even himself

Hope...

Start a new chapter with a ray of hope
With all the past worries had to cope
A new sun rise to the eastern side
Time to lay rest to the past that died

Time has healed a painful wound
Felt so much lost, sad and marooned
But then came a day when all had changed
A feeling never felt, it’s like prearranged

Felt so lonely, alone and sad
But all somehow it feels so glad
A tragic past filled with only pain
Somehow gone with a love to gain

The road is long it must go far
But the time will tell if it’s a blazing star
Like a dusty heart cleaned with a bar of soap
There’s more know on a new found hope

Iron Man 3 Movie Review

It has become a habit for me to write a review for movies I watch now. I guess at least it keeps my blog alive; something is better than nothing you know. Righty-O then on to the main event. However, at this point I would like to issue a SPOILER WARNING if you haven’t watched Iron Man 3 yet. It’s very hard to keep reviews for movies like this without spoiling. I’ll also be breaking away from the usual way I review movies and will review under new categories unique to this review.

Third Time’s The Charm
For me, the second Iron Man movie just didn’t cut it. It’s always the fault with trilogies. Other than very notable few series, the second movie of majority of trilogies just flop. But they come back with a bang with the third. Same rule applies for this movie as well. Iron Man 3 is a fun ride from start to finish with some great emotional moments in between.

The Way Of The Marvel
I like Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy but that and possibly the upcoming Man Of Steel series are too gloomy and depressing for me. Having read DC Comics, I know why this is so. Marvel Comics on the other hand is a different story. While it has some great character development and series plot lines it’s easy to see how fun the comics are. This is rightfully so when it comes to their movies as well. Iron Man 3 retains the absolute fun factor that is Marvel. Great stuff coming from Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man. Despite all the seriousness of this movie, it delivers a delightful experience for all.

Sound Of Music
In Iron Man 2, the soundtrack was much more notable because of AC/DC’s Shoot To Thrill. But on Iron Man 3, it was not much noticeable. Coming home and listening to Brian Tyler’s score for Iron Man 3 is just epic. Why was it not prominent in the movie is beyond me. The score is a perfect example of what we can do without rehashing the same theme again and again and again (I’m looking at you Amazing Spider Man).

Had This One Coming For Miles
The plot of Iron Man 3 was little too predictable but executed very nicely. But the best part is that the storyarc was already hinted many years ago with a Six Issue storyare based on the first Iron Man movie; titled Extremis. Back then the storyarc was considered one of the best Iron Man stories ever written and the producers going ahead with the idea for a movie is admired.

Child Friendly
“To Sell Toys” is as far as I know, is a term originated from Transformers Fans where they’ll call anything (Movies, TV Series, Comics) that will promote selling merchandise (especially toys). Hasbro who manufactures Transformers Action Figures also manufactures Iron Man toys. On Iron Man 2, they deliberately placed a boy wearing their toy Iron Man Mask and Repulsor Gloves. Smart move there Hasbro. Of course in this movie they had a great child actor to make little kids feel belonged in this movie where otherwise would have been a movie for more matured. Also, after watching the movie I know why Hasbro came up with their new Assemblers initiative.

Pet Peeves
On this topic, I’ll describe the moments which bugged me. Ok so we know how powerful America can be when it comes to security. Heck, on Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen they tracked down Sam with just a pic of his face. So, why didn’t they just ran a background check on who “The Mandarin” is? Ok I know I’m nitpicking here… but hey, America was fooled by a joke of a man. I didn’t much like the running gag with the Mark 42 Armor either. Though I can't see 3D I asked around my friends how the 3D quality was... well it was not much they said. That was expected with a post converted 3D.

Little Things
Ah my opposites of Pet Peeves. There were so many little things to tug the hearts of fans worldwide. The most obvious was Stan Lee of course.  Tony’s PC text headlines were written in Marvel Textbox with Marvel font and that was pretty cool. Hints from previous movies, hints of yet to come and my good friend Thimira pointed this out to me… 42. There are more, plenty more. I’ll have to go through the movie again to find out more; which I’ll do happily.

End Of An Era
It was announced that Robert Downey Jr. is to retire from the role of Tony Stark. This is a big blow for me. I always felt no other person can fill his shoes. As a story this was the swan song of both Robert and his Character Tony. The original Iron Man Trilogy did good but couldn’t help but feel a little hint of sadness inside. Truly an end of an era… but beginning of another.
